Pancakes and Syrup

The Letter of the Week was "S". So Ms Dawkins thought it would be great to have pancakes and syrup.

We read the recipe. Finlay and AJ put the flour in the bowl. Siena put the sugar in the bowl. Lachlan put in the baking powder. Ms Dawkins separated the eggs and put the whites in one bowl and the yolks in another. Everyone had a turn to beat the whites to make them fluffy. Avah said they looked like snow. Molly put the yolks in the flour. Maia poured in the milk. We all stirred the mixture. In went some melted butter. In went the egg whites. We stirred and stirred and stirred. We cooked the pancakes. They had to bubble before they were turned over. They had to cool a little bit. We squirted on some syrup. We gobbled the pancakes all up. Yummy! There were none left for Ms Dawkins!!!!
