A very exciting week at school...

As we started talking about our letter of the week, P, we realised how many exciting things started with this letter.
Pirates, pigs, pizza, pineapple, pink,  purple, people, princesses and many, many more.

Celia bounced into school on Tuesday and told us that pony started with "P" and her mum and dad were happy to bring her pony down to school so we could have a ride.  Boy did that make everyone buzz with excitement!
Minky and Bridget waiting to start giving everyone a ride.

Mia and Hanyl were the first in line.  They had to put on the helmets and wait
                                                                     patiently.
Rosa was first off for a ride.  She finished with a big smile!
This was Hanyl's first time on a pony.  As soon as he got off, he asked if he could go for another ride.
Mia was only holding on with one hand and she was using the other one to wave!
Way to go Alius.  You looked like you enjoyed your ride!

Here you are Isla, waving, smiling and having a great time!
Frankie looked like a natural sitting on Minky's back.
Olive had time for a big smile and a wave.
Great waving Jake!  You look like you enjoyed that!
Casey was holding on tight to the saddle.
Harry was happy to finally get his turn.  Minky kept making sneezing sounds as                                           she carried him around.  That made Harry laugh.
Lily had ridden Minky before so she was very confident.
Reef was a bit nervous before he got on, but once he came back he had a big
smile on his face.  That will be an exciting thing to tell your family about
                                                                         tonight.
Celia showed us how she could trot on Minky.  That looked like a lot of fun.

Charlie was so patient waiting for his turn.  Finally, up he got and away he went!

Lucky last, Henry!

We gave Minky some carrots to say "Thanks for taking us all for a ride"  Hopefully she had  as much fun as we did.  She snuffled on our hands and even though some of us dropped our
carrots in the dirt, she didn't seem to mind.  She had big teeth but she was
very gentle eating the carrots off our palm.

A HUGE thank you to Bridget and Glen for bringing her down to school.  We all had a great time and I think this is one letter of the week that we won't forget in a hurry!  Once we had washed our hands, we raced inside to start eating our shared lunch.  There were so many foods to choose from.... pikelets, popcorn, peanut butter sandwiches, pink cupcakes, potato chips, pretzels, pink pikelets, pizza and peas on a stick!  Thank you to all the parents who sent along some food for us to share. What a great way to end our week.  Mmmm I'm not sure what will happen next week when everyone realises that the letter is Uu.  Anyone for undies?
