Our Term Two Topic is  "In Days Gone By".

We made butter to put on our pikelets.

How we made butter.

We had to get cream and salt.

We put them into a jar with a lid.

We got into groups.

Then we had to take turns and shake the jar.

The cream went all over the inside of the jar.

We shook the jar some more.

Then we heard a sloshy noise.

The cream got to look like really squishy butter.

Then all of a sudden slosh, slosh, there was the butter and the buttermilk.

We tipped the butter out into a sieve that was in a bowl to save the buttermilk.

We put the butter onto a plate.

We squished and patted the butter with the butter pats.

We will keep the butter and use it to make pikelets.

The pats got butter on them.

We tipped the buttermilk into cups for a taste .......

Michael said, "It tastes like goats milk which I don't like."

Lenja said,"It's yummy milk."

Elise and Rose said,"It tastes like salty milk."

Sarsha and Jasmine said,"It tastes like yucky milk."

They had to be washed.
